BUENA PARK, CALIFORNIA - This Sunday, April 17th, the Orange County Southern Baptist Association and Knott's Berry Farm will be hosting the 69th annual Sunrise Service. A month ago, Rev. Dr. Victor Chayasirisobhon, OCSBA Director of Missions, and Bailey Small, OCSBA Communications Administrator, met with officials from Knott's Berry farm to finalize and confirm the details of the service. This will be the first time since 2019 that the sunrise service will be celebrated.
When asked about delivering the sermon at the service, Josh Sanchez said “I feel excited to preach at the return of the sunrise service! To be able to be part of this historic moment is an honor and I hope that many will be inspired by the message that God has planned for this occasion. May revival break out in Orange County and may Jesus be made famous!"
This will be the second time Huntington Beach Church’s worship team will lead worship for the service. Will Small, HBC’s worship leader, shared, “To hear the Body of Christ, in unity, in praise to Him, is one of the most beautiful sounds we could have the pleasure of experiencing. And man, do we have a reason to praise Him! I am just honored and humbled to lead God’s people in triumphant praise of the only One who is worthy.”
Pastor Victor stated, "It will be great to have the family back together to celebrate the resurrection! It was rough not being able to have it for the last two years but we prayed and hoped and God answered! I am grateful to God for the partnership with Knott's Berry Farm that makes this event possible. 69 years is an incredible number of years of partnership and we look forward to celebrating for many, many more years to come."
The sunrise service will start at 6:00 AM on Sunday, April 17th at Knott’s Berry Farm, 8039 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620. Doors open at 5:45 am. Parking is Free. Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant will not open until 9 am and reservation is required.
